Cold Shivers
Chapter 1 The Full Moon
It was midnight and my friends and I were telling scary stories and now it was my turn to tell a story. I told them about a werewolf that came whenever the moon was out, right as I said this my friends turned to me and gave me the ‘really that’s all you’ve got’ face. I ignored them and kept going with my story.
I told them about all the times this werewolf had been seen transforming. The werewolf’s name was Mathura. He was originally a human but after having a vicious encounter with a werewolf he had become one himself. Now Mathura had no idea he was a werewolf, he always thought it was a dream but the villagers knew different and many villagers had been attacked and some even eaten. This all happened for four years without stopping until one day, when Mathura died. Of course, the villagers celebrated but little did they know Mathura actually had a baby before he died. All the baby had left was its mother Takara. The werewolf genes passed on through the baby and the generations of this family went on and on until today when only one of the werewolves exist in this very country. Suddenly I shouted BOO which had all of them scared.
After that, we went to bed but just as I got into bed I felt a strange feeling on my face so I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I silently screamed in horror my story was true. I was a werewolf. I ran outside to look at the moon and yes it was a full moon.
Chapter 2 Too Hungry
I started to feel very hungry and I just couldn’t eat my friends, could I? My animalistic behavior started to take over my body and then I ran. I ran like never before, I was so fast I swear all I could see was the color black when suddenly I stopped. My vision started to come back to me again and I saw why I stopped a goat. It was Miss Garland’s goat. Miss Garland was my school teacher and of all the teachers in my school Miss Garland would have to be my favorite, she was so nice. I wouldn’t want to upset her by eating her goat but I couldn’t control myself and ended up eating it but I was still hungry and I could smell something delicious.
That was when I realized that it was Miss Garland herself that I was smelling. “No,” I told myself but, like I said, I couldn’t control myself and in I entered the house but then the sun started to shine and I started to change back I was so happy to change back but then I realized my friends would wake up soon as well. I started to run I was able to control myself again. I silently rejoiced while I ran and made it back just in time to get in bed and pretend to sleep but one of my friends saw me and told everyone at school.
Chapter 3 Spreading Rumours
That day started like any other day except that my friends were over at my house. We brushed our teeth, had breakfast and got ready for school. Right as we left my stomach started to hurt. “I guess eating a whole goat is weird for the human stomach,” I thought when I felt it.
We reached school without anything going wrong when one of my friends started telling people that there was a werewolf at school and that it was me. No-one believed her of course, they thought she was making up a story but she knew and stayed well away from me to keep safe.
For lunch, I had some lasagne which I gobbled up but I was still hungry. Soon after I smelt something delicious it was Miss Garland again started moving toward her when I realized what I was doing so I ran to the girl's toilets to freshen myself up. After splashing my face with water a few times I told myself “Don’t worry you’ve got everything under control, I mean only one person knows about my secret and I can easily take care of this, all I have to do is lock myself in a room with no windows” and so I did every night until one night when I lost the keys to the lock.
Chapter 4 Moonlight Mystery
It was midnight and I was searching for food when I smelt lots of new smells coming from the same place. As I got closer I realized that it was an outdoor party. Suddenly someone screamed “Monster!” followed by everyone else running and screaming. That night many people were attacked not eaten but attacked.
The very next day the news had said something an about a monster which resembled a wolf was roaming around the neighborhood and to stay indoors. Right after that, I got a call from the school telling me that school was closed today because of what was on the news. Now everyone knew that there was really a werewolf in town but only my friend knew that it was actually me.
Chapter 5 Detention Werewolf
It was midnight again and I was smelling another new smell. I went towards it and it turns out it was at a school detention room. I entered the room and had quite the meal I mean, if I could control myself I wouldn’t have done it but now all I could do was roll with it. After that, I found my school’s detention and ate there too when I found the cafeteria.
It was full of food and I just couldn’t resist I ate and ate and ate until my stomach was full then I went home to find police and detectives there.
Chapter 6 Investigation Horror
I had to eat but then one of the police saw me and tried to shoot me. I dodged the bullet without even moving my feet it was amazing. I growled and the leaped the officer, ate him and kept going with the rest. Once I was done my parents got home from the holiday when they saw me.
They screamed and screamed not knowing what to do when I started to howl. Right as I finished I slowly moved closer to my parents, who were still screaming when the sun started to shine again and I started to change back. I ran to my room to change back there when my parents ran in and saw me change completely to myself.
My dad then explained to my mother what and why it had just happened and all we had to do was learn to control it.
Chapter 7 Under Control
My Dad told me all we had to do was lock myself in a cage to keep others safe and then learn to control.
He told me to think about others closest to me. It was working. The rest of the next years everything was fine until one day at school. When a new kid came to school.
He was the biggest bully of all time. He already made a bully group who went around taking peoples lunch money and then beating them.
Chapter 8 Lost My Mind
Eventually, the bully came to me for my lunch money. I refused to give it to him and so he got ready to punch me. As he threw his punch my hand flew towards his fist, catching it right in front of my face. I started to twist it. He screamed in pain and tried to throw another punch. I caught that one too and twisted that as well when suddenly one of his friends screamed “Werewolf”. I was so caught up in what was happening I didn’t even realise that I had turned into a werewolf. After that day no-one tried to mess with me and I stayed confused on how I turned into a werewolf in broad daylight.
